I am researching Nancy Myers (1824-1894) who was born in Knox County, Ohio in 1824. Her mother was Anna Copper (1805-1881). I presume her father was a Mr. Myers. Anna Copper married her cousin, Abel Copper, in Licking County, Ohio in 1826. Nancy was always known by the surname Myers although raised by her mother with her stepfather and half siblings. Anna and Abel Copper came from Pennsylvania and moved on to Wisconsin. I am looking for any information on Nancy's father. Jones. He is not a relative of mine; however I did happen to have his obit. Lowell A. Jones Feb. 5, 1912 - Aug. 29, 1987 Services for Lowell A. Jones, 75, of North Sixth Street, Hebron, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, Hebron, with Dr.Joseph Harr officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jones died Saturday at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1912, in Florence Switch, OH to the late William D. and Ollie M. (Jordan) Jones. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 23 and past member of the American Legion and VFW posts in Greenwich, OH. Mr. Jones was retired form the Newark Air Force Base. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and had 22 years of federal service to his credit. Surviving are his wife, Hazel; four daughters: Marian Reindl of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mrs. Richard (Edna) McKenzie of Greenwich, Ohio, Mrs. Harold (Judy) Tackett of Springfield, Ohio, and Mrs. Matthew (Marilyn) Thornbahn of Hebron; two sons: Lowell E. Jones of Springfield, Ohio, and Allan J. Jones of Granville; three sisters: Edith Brooks of Xenia, Ohio, Willa Dawson of Dayton, Ohio, and Virginia Myers of New London, Ohio; one brother, James Jones of Greenwich, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
