I am trying to locate the parents of Louisa Caroline Knowles. She was born 2 Jan 1813, 1814, 1815, or 1816 in Milford, Connecticut. She married William Jackson 18 May 1832 in Knox County, Ohio. Had 3 daughters, moved to Hancock County, Illinois, where we think William died. She married Benjamin G. Decker (a widower with 7 children). They moved to Missouri and Nebraska and had 4 children. She passed away 14 Jan 1870 in Nebraska City, Otoe, Nebraska. I believe her father to be David Knowles but have no proof of this. I find David in the 1850 Census with wife Mary and six children (Elizabeth 1834, Virgil 1837, Margaret 1838, Juliet 1840, George 1842 and Amelia 1846). David Knowles and Mary Schultz were married 11 Oct 1832 in Knox, Ohio. There is also a death of a David Knowles 10 months old in 1845 in Knox, Ohio. There is also another marriage David Knowles to Mary Ritter Mar 1831 in Knox, Ohio. I also have a probate record of David Knowles estate and on one of them it lists a Caroline Decker. I am willing to share the information I have on these families. I am interested in more information on these families and finding descendants. Thanks, Verna

I come down through Rudolph & Barbara Conway's son John & wife Matilda Conaway. Their daughter, Nancy Rine, b 20 Aug 1829, married Nathan Jones (his 2nd wife; 1st wife was Julia Ann Fry). I had purchased several years ago a book on The Rine & Underwood Families by Richard DeLauder to help me try to sort out all the inter--marriages of these families. There is a lot of misinformation but a lot of it is fine, so I do refer to it a lot! In this book, it indicates Rudolph with a son, William who married a Nancy Rine, but according to Rudolph's will, he had a daughter Nancy & no son named William (I believe that Nancy should be listed as his daughter. not William as his son). It looks to me like you may come down through this Nancy Rine & William Rine. Is that correct? Would like to correspond with you more on this line if you want to. I have quite a lot of information on Rines and collateral lines also. My grandmother was one of 7 girls with one of them marrying a Rine & another one marrying an Underwood!
