Hello Everyone, I am researching the OLDFIELD and associated families of south and central Ohio. Although beginning in Hocking County's Hocking Hills State Park area (Benton and Starr Townships) I am also researching many of the surrounding counties including: Ross, Athens, Fairfield, Franklin, Richland, Marion and Muskingum. Ohio towns include: Logan, South Bloomingville, Lancaster, Enterprise, Benton, Columbus, Mansfield, Zanesville, Rockbridge, Athens, Akron, Tarlton, Circleville, Laurelville, Ilesboro and others. Many associated families include: BURGOON, BURNS, CHILCOTE, CLARK, COOK, COOPER, HOY, ILES, LINDSAY, LOWERY, MARTIN , MAUK, MCCONNELL, MCELFRESH, MIRE, PUCKETT, READY, SANDERSON, SATER, SCOT, SKIVELY, SPRING, STOUGHTON, STARKL(E)Y, STROOP, WILLIAMS, WOODARD, ZEHRUNG, The time period I am researching begins in 1835 in and around Hocking and surrounding counties, to the present but mainly between 1870's to the 1930's. Any one recognize these names associated with the above towns, counties or surnames? Please contact Jim and Deb Oldfield Jr. -- Jim Oldfield Jr. - oldfield@oldfield.org http://www.parsonstech.com/genealogy/trees/joldfiel/OLDFIELD.htm http://www.parsonstech.com/genealogy/trees/joldfie1/moffett.htm http://www.parsonstech.com/genealogy/trees/joldfie2/Ward.htm

In doing research on my husband's Great-grandfather John Chapman BAKER (more information about him can be found at this site: http://members.aol.com/Paper451/index.html), I discovered the name of a friend of John's, in John's obit. John was residing in Knox, Starke County, IN, at the time of his passing, as was Warren S. TERRY (John's reported childhood and lifetime friend). While spending time, looking through boxes of photos, I came across a picture of Mr. Terry. If anyone from this list is interested, please let me know. I can scan and send you a copy of the zerox image I have. Plus, if you visit the library in Starke, they will probably give you the original. Veronica Baker

Attention readers, I told you about the book 'Granville' this morning. I have gotten a lot of requests to do look ups, plus several offers to purchase the book. I have written to the first person to email me and gave her the information and she is to get back to me with her answer as to wheather she wants to buy the book. If she does not want it I will write to the second name on the list and so on until it is gone. The price is $30 plus $3 postage. In the meantime I will try to get all the look ups done before I send the book off. Please be patient for there are many to do. I want to thank you all, Mari Davis
