    1. Mailing address for Fallsbury Cemetery?
    2. Hello~ Can anyone give me the mailing address of Fallsbury/Fallsburg Cemetery in Fallsburg, Licking Co, OH? It is located on State Route #79, 1/4 mile west of State Route #586. I have already found my CLARK's in this Cemetery by way of an inscriptions microfilm, so now I would like to contact the Cemetery for any further information they might have on the burials. The dates of burial are from 1915 through 1965. It is a small, rural town, so I'm not sure if the Cemetery has the records or some other organization does and I'm not sure what additional information was kept back in the early 1900s? But, it wouldn't hurt to send off a letter! <smile> Any help would be appreciated~ Laurie Bellingham, WA My genealogy web site http://members.aol.com/lauriejken/family My hubby's genealogy web site http://members.aol.com/rjken/family

    2. Kendall Kendle Kindle Kindal Kennel Kandel Gendall After 35 years of frustrating research in a single line of Kendalls, I am building a database on all Kendall's known to have come out of Virginia. I have a special interest in Kendalls from Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Stafford, Rappahannock and Warren Counties in Virginia. As well as Licking County, Ohio! I would like to communicate with Kendall researchers who have information on men with the first names of George, Bailey, and Noah who were KNOWN TO HAVE LIVED in Fauquier County, Virginia. Also I have some evidence that the widows of George (Catherine) and Bailey (Mary) ended up with children & grandchildren in Licking County, Ohio. I would appreciate help pursuing this avenue of research. I am also interested in your Kendall research. If you know, or think, your's originated in Virginia and would like to share your work, in order to help untangle Kendall lines, and prevent duplicate research; I would be grateful for any information you can share. Thanks! Tom Kendall Email: fflat@worldnet.att.net

    2. Dave, Was your Chloe WILCOX born 17 Sep 1763 Simsbury or Norfolk, CT to Joseph and Sarah (____) WILCOX? Is she a descendant of William WILLCOXSONs 4th son, Samuel >Joseph >Joseph >Joseph >Joseph >Chloe? I have nothing further on Chloe. But I'd like to have her next few generations to add to my copy of the book, Descendants of William WILCOXSON, Father of Connecticut". I presume you have acces to this book, and have traced Chloe's ancestors back to William. If not, I'll provide that data for you. Also, I have nothing on her husband, Israel WELLS. My grandmother was a descendant of William WILCOXSON thru Joseph(I), and then through 2 of Joseph's sons, Joseph(II) & John, whose descendants married each other. Joseph's(II) descendants were Deacon Joseph(III), and Joseph(IV), who married Grace WILCOX. The descendants of John, brother of Joseph (II) were Silas and Grace, who married Joseph(IV) who produced my gg-grandfather, Josiah Carter WILCOX. My book gives lots of names and birthdates, but very little info on where the people lived. I know my WILCOXs moved from CT to Licking Co, OH, but I don't know which ones of the clan, nor when. Looks like we're umteenth cousins, umteenth removed! 2. Denny Shirer
    3. Marianne, None of those names look familiar, but I have not started any Harter research yet. The Harters I know from my wifes family do not match. A nephew of Elma Harter Brown is doing research primarily on the Harters and I will try to get his opinion and/or email for you. Like I said. I will be glad to take a little time to look up a few names next time I am at the library as long as people don't overload me with requests. I only get there about once a month and I am primarily doing research on the Shirer and Stanton surnames. Denny Shirer

    3. Terry, I do not have a cemetary list. I do have some photos some of the gravestones there in relation to my own research. I have yet to come across anyone else with information on Cedar Hill. There is a link on my hompage to a cemetary site and I have made requests to the owner of that site for inclusions of cemeteary listings in Newark and Adamsville. He is working on it. I live about 75 miles north of newark and plan within the next year to make a videotape record of the cemetary. Maybe at that point I can enlist someones aid to transcribe the tape. On another note, I notice that you have McFarland ties. My Stanton line from Newark is tied to the McFarlands but I have no more information than what was in a family bible. I found a message of yours I saved some time ago so I'm not sure whether I contacted you before. I'm looking for information on Sarah McFarland who married John McKey. Their children included: Mary, Jane, Isabella, Letetia, Elizabeth, Margaret, Andrew, John, Matilda and Sarah. I have no timeline on Sarah but think she was born around 1800-1810 and lived in the Newark, OH area. Cedar Hill Cemetary is just outside of Newark, OH. It is well known in the area because in the cemetary is a burial mound built by the Mound Builder Indians. Denny Shirer

    3. Karen, I visit the Library about once a month. I probably will not get back there for at least a couple weeks. I will look for the book and references to those names you listed. Stark county library has recently put their entire catalog on the internet. 3. Karen, My wife's family is descended from the Licking Co. Harters. And my family, the Shirers are also from Newark. There are many Harters in the Cedar Hill Cemetary where also can be found Shirer's and Fulk another family associated with the Harters. There are also many Harters here where I live in Stark Co., OH., all descended from the Newark Harters. Our library has a very good book on the history of the Harters. I have yet to start researching that side of the family, but I have been lax only because there is a lot of research already done. If I can be of service to you in any informational lookups, I will be glad to help. We still have one of the Newark Harter children living here in North Canton, OH. Her name is Elma Harter Brown who is about 90 years old now. She is a great resource as she is the last person that remembers the Harters in Newark personally. She is approaching 90 and is in great health. She lives only 5 minutes from me and my wife visits her great aunt often. 3. A note regarding the film # 0874328 of Cemetery Inscriptions for Licking County. This film has no index. There are 23 townships on the film (3 are missing). The surnames are listed alphabetically within each cemetery. If you don't know which township your ancestors were in, you are asking someone to go through the entire film of over 110 cemeteries. Just thought you should know. Linda

    2. Hi Paul~ I'm sorry, but I'm not doing look ups on that microfilm. I'm not sure what Licking Co. newsletter you are talking about, I've never seen one. I never authorized anyone to post a look up offer for me. Can you please let me know how to get a hold of the person in charge of this newsletter so that I can get them to delete this offer? If you are interested in this microfilm, you can order it from your local Family History Center. It's called "Cemetery Inscriptions ending June 1970-Licking County, OH" and the film number is 0874328.
