Help. I don't have access to the Newark Advocate Microfilm Archives here in Stark Co. I need the obituary for Owen Foster Stanton b. 8/12/1858 in Newark, OH d. 3/10/1920 in Newark, OH., mostly anything about his parents and residences. It might have also appeared in the Columbus Dispatch. A transcription would be wonderful. No need to incur any mailing or copying costs. Will gladly trade any Stark Co. lookups. Nancy In 1834 Truman Perfect owned land in Hartford Township and also Monroe Township of Licking County. He is listed as also having personal property (e.g cattle, horse, carriage) in Monroe Township. This is from the 1834 Licking County Tax Duplicate Index, compiled by Diane Pheneger for the Licking County Chapter of OGS, 1981. 27 May 1837 he was one of two appraisors for the estate of Jacob Baker with Eli Pratt being the Administrator. The second appraisor was Henry Duke. Truman's name was spelled Trumen in this source. This was from Licking County, Ohio Probate Records 1828-1904 by the Licking County Chapter OGS, 1975. Hope this is of some help. Priscilla

Hello, I found out some of the mailing list somehow I either accidentally subscribe or my just bounced back, so if I am already subscribed great. I just wanted to tell everyone that I have been very busy doing about 6 homepages, 30 forums on surnames (I will list later on surnames), make a wish, and muscular dystrophy. I have now 5 mailing lists. Bricker, Dailey, Durham, Swigart. And then I am subscribed to many many many mailing list myself. I haven't been able to do much lately because I have been so busy lately with my own. I thought since there are so many people asking for all of these URL's then I would email everyone at one time and just tell everyone in one mailing list. I am on 40 search engines, and linked to FTM and Cyndi's Howard's list. So I have been quite busy. But right now I am trying to make people aware of Make A Wish Foundation of America. Usually each state has one. There are many children out there who are gravely ill and this organization grants their wishes, most wishes are between 3,000-5,000 dollars, not all. And they have people like you and me donate to them, then they try to get big or small businesses to sponsor them also. So if you are wanting to donate and haven't done so please go to my page. I have all the email and URL's to these places including the ones I have mentioned above. Remember this isn't all yet. I still have the Make A. Wish Mailing list that will be starting soon, and The Make A. Wish forums. If you want to you can even volunteer for them. That would mean a lot to them. I better go for now. If anyone needs prayers, please email me at anytime so I can know who you are. Isn't Christmas wonderful. To all my friends, family, etc. Merry Christmas from me and my family. Sandra A. Sheldon Oh, just wanted you to know it might take a little while to come in. I have music and tons of links to come in. Have fun. ****************************************************************************** *************** Sandra A. Sheldon http://www.angelfire.com/ok2/SandraSheldon/index.html
I am seeking any information on Alexander DeVilbiss, married to Priscilla McClain. Alexander was born in Maryland 1780, moved to Ohio as an adult and died in 1831. Children were Samuel, William, Mary Ann, Alexander, John Wesley, Elizabeth, and Hester. I am especially interested in John Wesley, my direct ancestor who went to Texas in 1842 as a Methodist missionary. Alexander DeVilbiss was instrumental in the early years of Alexandria, Ohio.
