    1. Phillips family
    2. Vineyard
    3. I am trying to find any information on two Phillips brothers who came to Licking co. from Wales about 1803 after writing 'seditious pamphlets against the English Government' when they were at Saint David's College in Lampeter. This was written on the back of a post card showing some pictures of buildings in my grandmother's handwriting: "Thriburg settlements in Paddy's Run. Shandon Granville & Welch hills (1803) rented by the two Phillips boys from Carmarthreshire who were forced to leave Wales for printing seditious phamphlets against the English government while they were students at St. Davids College at Lampeter." Any thoughts?

    1. TAVENER/JACKSON
    2. I'm trying to find information on the family of Landon TAVENER/TAVENNER who married Christina JACKSON in Loudoun Co, Virginia 21 August 1823. They moved to Newark, Licking Co, Ohio around 1840 not sure of exact date along with some of Landon's brothers and their families. I know the parents of Landon TAVENER and all of his family, it's Christina that I'm trying to find out about. When she married no parents were listed. She was mentioned in the estate record of Benjamin JACKSON in 1855 in Hampshire Co, (W)VA., (the JACKSONS moved from Loudoun Co, VA to Frederick Co, VA to Hampshire Co, (W)Va.) It listed Benjamin JACKSON'S children: Ebenezer JACKSON, William JACKSON(dec'd...left heirs) Samuel A. JACKSON (my ancestor) and Elizabeth Jackson and $5.00 to Christina JACKSON....no relationship given. Was she Benjamins sister, niece, cousin, daughter or what??? Would dearly love to find out more about Christina, her husband Landon TAVENER and any of their children. When did she die, where are they buried.....just anything would be great. Would also appreciate any advice on researching in this area. Thank you, Cheryl Jackson Malone

    1. Neighbarger Family
    2. Hi Laurel! There are two Neighbargers buried in the Smith Chapel Cem., Perry Twp., Licking Co. - Agnes H. (Priest) Neighbarger, w/o Jacob, 1830-1904 and Sanford O., 1859-1912. They are both in Section A, Row 3. In Willey Cem, Perry Twp. are Christopher Neighbarger, d. 22 Apr 1850, age 78y, 6m, 25d. and Grizza W. Neighbarger, w/o Christopher, d. 5 Apr 1843 age 66y. I suspect Grizza was a Willey, since the only other graves are of that family - the cem. is located on private property. Hope this helps! 1. New to list--NEIGHBARGER
    2. Busch
    3. Hi, everyone, I just subscribed to the list. My great-great-grandmother, Irena Margaret NEIGHBARGER, was born in Ohio about 1829 and married a man from McLean County, Illinois (Valentine L. SPAWR) in the 1850s. I believe she was from Licking County because another NEIGHBARGER, Nancy NEIGHBARGER HINTHORN, daughter of Christopher NEIGHBARGER, was born in Licking County and died in McLean County, Ill. I am assuming that members of the same family moved from Licking Co., Ohio, to McLean Co., Ill., together. However, I have not been able to turn up any other information on NEIGHBARGERs there. In the 1830 Licking County census, in Perry Township, Christopher NEIGHBARGER is found right next to James NEIGHBARGER. Of all the NEIGHBARGERs in the 1830 Licking Co. census, James was the only one with daughters 5 years old and younger. I suspect that Irena was the daughter of James and that James was the son of Christopher--and the brother of Nancy. The ages would be right. Confirming the connection, there is a child in the family that Nancy married into named James Neighbarger HINTHORN. I would like to hear from anyone else researching these names or with suggestions on where I look next. 1. William Bausher
    2. Help!!! If anybody has cemetery records for Licking and Stark Counties I would appreciate if they could check to see if a William Bausher is buried there. I'm in need of birth and death information to verify some research. I do know that a William F. Bausher died in Stark Co, on 2 April 1925. Also, a William S. Bausher died in Stark Co. on 20 May 1937. I do know that a William Bowsher, age 71 in the 1910 census was living in Licking County, OH. I do not know if he died there but I'm taking the chance that he might by requesting some help. I believe he was born on October 1838 in PA. Any of these three (3) people could be the one that I am searching for but will take whatever information one can find on any of them. It might just clear up other mysteries. Please be aware that this name can be spelled in many ways. The following is a few of them. Bauscher Bauscher Bowsher Bowscher Boucher Bouscher I appreciate any help you can give me. Many thanks, JOHN HAINS

    1. Noah LEONARD, 1840 Bennington Twp. Census
    2. Phillip J Maxson
    3. Hello, I am researching Noah and Anna Floyd Leonard. Noah moved near Newark in Licking County in the early 1830's and appears on the 1840 Census in Bennington Twp. All of the rest of his children were born in Licking County. By 1850 Noah had moved on to IL. I am wondering if any one else has researched Noah or possibly some of his siblings. I know a good deal about his descendants but nothing about his parents or their other children. Noah and Anna's children: Joseph, Suzanne, Jane, Rachel, Thomas, David, John, Lida and Henry. Be happy to share what I know. Thanks, Ann Maxson Houston, TX pjmaxson@flash.net
