I am finally getting closer to accurate spellings and such for my family line. My Wages line was definately located in Licking County. Louis Wages was married to Esther Vinsel and had a child together in 1884 named Frank Wages. I am trying to find out if Esther and Louis lived in Licking County. They may be from Akron Ohio area Summit County? Any help would be appreciated. I am also trying to get information on Charles Albert Blackburn who was married to Effie Sealy and lived in the Columbus area. Thank You Cassie
I purchased a book at a garage sale thinking it might connect someday and now I know it doesn't. I am going to donate it to our historical society rummage sale but before I do I thought I would post this information in case someone on the list is interested in this information. Ellwood Patterson Cubberley was born June 6 1868 at Andrews, Indiana, the son of Edwin Blanchard and Catherine Biles Cubberley. Ellwood's father was born June 12 1830 in Licking County, Ohio, the son of Amariah and Susan Barbour Cubberley. If anyone wants more, please let me know. Cathy
Just got on line so I am very late with responses. Many of these Brubakers from Rockingham co VA came to Clark co with the Crists etc (or the Crist came with them) and many moved on to Illinois. They were many of them ministers in the Brethren church and there is much information about the brubakers in the Brethren history. Try the Brethren list also. M. Calvin.

Hello everyone, My Great, Great Grandfather was born in Etna, OH on April 7th, 1848. He married Emma Matthews. Emma Matthews was born in 1858 and died July 30th, 1909 in Lincoln, NE. I know that Emma and her father were both born in England, while her mother was born in Ohio. I am trying to find out if they were also from this (Etna) area. She may be listed in the 1860 census with her father as a 2 year old. I would like to learn the identity and occupation of her father. Thanks. Mark S. Ellis R.T. Ken, Haven't talked to you for a while. I was in Newark about a month ago and did some searches in the Cedar Hill internment books. Naturally I was looking for my Cummings/Cummins and Shirers but also for some others. I did find a lot of other Cummins that aren't related directly to my ancestors. The spelling is Cummins not Cummings. Some listed are: Murray A. Cummins b. 1875 d. 1952 Mary M. (wife) Cummins d. 11/16/1942 aged 64y 2m 23d Myrtle W. In a previous query, I asked who his parents might be and I think Brad responded that they were John Langdon Atwood and Marietta Spelman. I have been looking at the 1850 Fed census for Licking County and have found two George Atwoods. The listings are as follows: Harrison Twnship, Licking County, 25th Sep 1850 1526 1546 Atwood, Zephaniah 49 m Farmer 6000 NY Catherine 44 f Ohio Preston, Warren 6 m Ohio 1528 1548 Atwood, Elizabeth 39 f 5000 Ohio George 18 m Farmer Ohio Samuel 15 m Farmer Ohio William 14 m Ohio Almira 10 f Ohio 1567 1588 Wilcox, Mary 49 f 1400 Ohio Atwood , George 19 m Farmer Ohio Atwood, Thomas Y 17 m Ohio Atwood, Rachel 14 f Ohio Wilcox, William H 9 m Ohio Benjamin G 7 m Ohio I found where John Langdon Atwood died in 1834 and Marietta must have remarried as she died in Kearney, Nebraska. Does anyone know the story behind these Atwoods and can you tell me which one of these George's is the son of John Langdon Atwood and Marietta Spelman. In my George's obit, a sister named Abby Wilcox is listed as still living. Maybe he and the other children are living with a great aunt??? Any help or speculation will be appreciated. My brain is tired. Thanx :) G --part1_79f4d17c.24f5ef2a_boundary--

Hello Everyone, I have put an indexed updated version of my Ellis/Scott gedcom file at http://www.my-ged.com/ellis/ if you wish to take a look at it. You can search there by surname. It contains all of the people in my database, so if you don't see I don't have it. For those of you with the ability to create genealogical gedcom files, I would suggest placing them on that server. Dave Wilks operates the server and it is a wonderful way to share your information with others. It's very easy to place and update the file. Once the file is there, others may search by surname. The URL for the server is http://www.my-ged.com/ Good luck. Mark S. Ellis R.T.
