Hi. I am searching for the parents of Mary E. Patterson. She was born in Jersey Twp., Licking Co., OH on 13 Jan 1829 and married Thomas Dickerson in Jersey Twp., Licking Co., OH 1 Jan 1849. I have no idea who her parents were, but after looking through some old maps, I found three Patterson farms around the Dickerson properties. This is my best guess. If someone has access to the 1830 or 1840 census records I'd like to ask you to look up: Benjamin Patterson G. W. Patterson M. Patterson If you are able to find these listings, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Melissa

HI... A few days ago I posted a request for the location of a cemetery in Licking Co. I had a number of very helpful replies, so thank you to all who took the time to give me the directions. Now, wouldn't you know it, I've come across information on a few more ancestors who are buried in another cemetery not listed in the Yellow Pages. This one is called George's Chapel Cemetery in Luray - Union Township. Does anyone have an address and/or directions to this cemetery? Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Sue
Where do I write to get the death certificate of someone who died in 1887 (in Licking Co.)? What is the fee? Cathy

Seeking the ancestry of Florence Isaiah Swift, who appears in the 1850 census for Licking County with his wife Lanner and six children. She was Lanner Bowers, probably the daughter of John Bowers. They lived next door in Jacksontown to James Swift, who may have been his father. kenhart@thegrid.net Ken Hart kenhart@thegrid.net
Does anyone have a list of people buried at St. Jacob's cemetary on Palmer Rd? Monica
I saw where a Dale Wagoner wrote in. Do you have any Francisco's in your family tree. They were from Blacklick, Ohio? We have been looking for a Dale Wagoner, who is a cousin, and who we were hoping for answers to some questions about our family tree. Please email me at rgartner@alink.com. Thanks, Sally
Hi Susan, North Lawn Cemetery is at the north edge of Utica on SR 13 headed toward Mt. Vernon. There is no cemetery office. Several years ago I found a few records of names of lot owners but no burial list as such at the Utica village office downtown. About the only record you will find is the names on the tombstones. Hi... I'm planning a trip to Ohio next week to photograph the graves of my ancestor and find other info on them. I have a "Graves Registration Card" on my great-grandfather. It states, and I quote, "Name of Cemetery...North Lawn (Utica)... Location...Washington Twp., Licking Co." However, I am unable to locate such a cemetery in the internet Yellow Pages. I called one named Northlawn Memory Gardens in Westerville, but it was opened in 1964 and my great-grandfather died in 1923. But they searched anyway and he was not listed there. Does anyone know the current name and location of the cemetery listed in the graves registration card? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Susan Hobbs

While looking up some info for someone, I noticed that the Jersey township map was printed with NORTH to the RIGHT. I have altered and corrected the image so that NORTH will now be UP as it should have been. sorry for any confusion. MIKE SALLEY
I have combined all the links on this message and added the final one for Etna township. Good hunting to all !! Mike Salley ------------------------------------------------------------------------ For anyone to use, I have posted several maps from 1866 Licking county atlas to the following links. Take Note: These are quite large files, they may take 3 to 4 minutes to load in your browser. If you have an application on your computer to handle photos, then I recommend saving them to disk and using that app to open and resize if you want. They were originally scanned at 150 lines and have been saved as HIGH quality jpeg's. If you have any questions about them, email me and I'll respond.
