    2. I just joined this list and I have not joined in on this roll call yet. I did not know you had a rule about how many people could leave a message on this list. Where do you get permission to leave a message on this list? Wayne BILBY

    1. Too many e-mails? Suggestion!
    2. As most persons responding to "roll-calls" or to any mail list in general, it has been my experience that the subject is often vague or simply not changed from whence they responded. I have changed from the "List" method of receiving one e-mail at a time to the "DIGEST" mode. It has far superior and combines as many as 20 - 25 e-mails on one! I simply scroll down the screen quickly to see if there is anything of interest. Debra

    3. Hi, Chocy--Lucy Margery/Margie NEIGHBARGER, whose grandparents (and parents?) moved from Licking Co. to McLean Co. between 1850 and 1860, had two children with the surname of RITTER. However, the only husband I know of for her had the surname of WEAVER. Do you by any chance have a RITTER who married a NEIGHBARGER (or a widow/divorcee named WEAVER)? If you do, all the roll call traffic will have been well worth it to me! 3. Hundreds of E-mails with the same subject line. If you put the subject in the line then you don't have to label it "Roll Call" and you save time, yours and mine. Don't mean to offend, but we go through this same thing every couple months or so. By the way, were all researching in Licking county, hence the name of the board. Good Luck (I say good luck to those of you who use only Roll Call in the subject line, because that's what you'll need.) :) SK > -----Original Message----- > From: sheila dent [mailto:smd@mhonline.net] > Sent: Tuesday, January 04, 2000 8:06 PM > To: OHLICKIN-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Thank you > > > Hi all, > I, for one, appreciate roll call and some of you are giving the > impression that it's a nuisance. 3. Hello I wish to add the following to the Roll Call I am searching for information on MICHAEL BEEM and spouse ELIZABETH GREEN, their son DANIEL BEEM (and spouse JERUSHA BAKER or BROWN) and granddaughter LOUISA BEEM (spouse HOSEA JOLLY). And, of course their ancestors. Also searching for information on HENRY JOLLY, his son WILLIAM HENRY JOLLY (and spouse CYNTHIA MARTIN) and their ancestors. Both Michael Beem and Henry Jolly lived in Jersey Township, Licking County in the early 1800s. They were Revolutionary War friends and are buried side-by-side in the Universalist Cemetery. They are both my ancestors. Thanks, Glenn Burghardt burghardt@chitons.com

    3. Hi all, I, for one, appreciate roll call and some of you are giving the impression that it's a nuisance. Perhaps there is a more efficient protocol which many of us failed to follow, therefore, just remind us on the onset the next time. If nothing else, it has stimulated the site and created some interaction among us. I delete junk mail all the time, at least THIS mail was of value, properly labeled or not and I read it because it came from Licking, Co., where I am researching. Whoever called for a roll call, Thanks, Sheila Dent

    2. Rex
    3. Reposting - my apologies to all - I should have known better, but was so excited to see a roll call that I just typed before I thought. I am also interested in anyone in Newton twp, Licking Co., in 1830 - I'll sort the whole township if I have to in order to figure out what my Luther Roberts m Phoebe Jagger were doing there! Wow - that should bring me a lot of mail! :-) Sooner or later, I'll get to Bennington twp where they turn up in 1840. Teri
