The FRIZZELL, DAVIDSON and LIVINGSTON families lived in Hanover Twp. in the area of Toboso from the early 1800s. We are no exactly sure how the FRIZZELLs were connected to the other 2 families. Also I have little on the Davidsons. These are some of the names that I have: Samuel Davidson was probably the father of: Maranda, Zeb Richard and Mary Ann. Mary Ann Davidson m. Francis/Frank Livingston 1864, s/o Tobias and Sarah. She was somehow connected to the Frizzells, we think. William Frizzell m. 1822 Ann Collins were probably the parents of Rachel b. 1823 who m. one of the Tobias Livingstons in the area. Sound familiar? Brenda
Would love to know more about these families. I am willing to share information. fransims@prodigy.net Fran Sims in beautiful St Petersburg, Fl

Hello Your roll call listed BAKER & ENGLISH families. Does your information on the Baker family include a JERUSHA BAKER? She is reported to be the spouse of DANIEL BEEM with a marriage date of 20 Dec 1820 in Licking County. Any information on her would be welcome by myself and many others who are seeking it. Some records list this person as JERUSHA BAKER and others list her as JERUSHA BROWN. Thank you for your time. Glenn
Stop complaining about the lists, delete what you don't want and remember if y ou aren't part of the solution ,,you are part of the problem.
If you wait on "appropriate" subject lines, it is your loss. Personally, I don't judge a book by it's cover. As an old UNIX guru, I've seen email formats come and go, so it doesn't matter to me how it comes. You're lucky I don't send mail messages in all lower case without punctuation. Just don't expect me to answer right away. I read it all and I enjoy a good percentage of it, but I'm always a couple of days behind. Spend more time away from the computer, than on it. You'll enjoy genealogy more. Keep those Roll Calls coming. Cheers!!! Hi, According to Chapman, Rachel was Eli's daughter and married Oscar Cole. I might add that the 2nd wife of Justus, Melissa Cole, was Eli's wife before he died in the war. I believe there is someone else on this list that is a descendant of that branch. The Ann mentioned as Lydia's daughter is Lydia Ann and she lived for many years in Tenn. before moving back to Ohio. Lydia Ann married Rev. James W. Miller in 1845 and the child mentioned by the name of Helen C is actually Bertha Helen. (My ggrandmother) She married Isaac Norman Cosner in Knox County. I do have all their children if anyone is interested. Lydia Ann Butler Miller died June 19, 1851. She was crippled through a fall several years before her death. This was learned through letters written by her husband. Both daughters May V. (not Mary) and Lunetta died at an early age in 1891 just 8 months apart. Annie Louisa married Charles Kingston and she died in 1909. The 2nd child James mentioned by Chapman I have never found, He may have died young in Tenn. William did die in Tenn. but no definite death date at this time. Charles S. and Frank Justus and the only 2 sons to live. Rev. James Miller and Lydia Ann put all their children through college in Granville. Frank Justus went on to Yale and eventually became the Dean of Women at the University of Chicago. I've been to the Dennison University and the archives there are great. If anyone has any ancestors who attended there, it's worth a visit. Just make an appt. I ended up with all sorts of info, including a copy of an original graduation program from my gggrandfather in 1845. Plus a picture of his son at graduation in 1879. They didn't take many pictures of the females but I did manage to obtain other records. Boy, was going to school cheaper back then!! Enough of my rambling!! That must be another Rachel Philbrook. The one who married Darius Dow Pendleton was b. 2 May 1816, daughter of Phineas and Nancy. (Chapman, Page 136) She died in Hancock Co., Ohio, after giving birth to a third child, John, who was missed by Chapman. John later died in the Civil War, as did his first cousin John B. Pendleton. (James, James Gilkey) Darius then married Mary Ann Green, and they became my gg grandparents. Darius was the son of James Gilkey Pendleton and Betsey (Chapman, P. 110) Philbrook, dau.. of Joel and Mary Philbrook. Which of Joel and Mary's children do you descend from? I just heard from another descendant of Lydia and Eli Butler today. We both have the same ISP and probably live in the same town. Have not heard back from her to determine how close she lives to me. - Leah in San Marcos, TX. >
Hi Everyone, I'm searching for the surnames TRACE, FULK, and FICKLE in Licking Co. My g-grandfather Evans FICKLE (b. 9 Jul 1860, Ohio) was married in Licking County 13 Apr 1880 to Alice Flora FULK (b. 25 Dec 1862, Ohio - I think around Amsterdam). They both died in Licking County. Would appreciate ANY information on Evans FICKLE - can't seem to find his parents. Their daughter, Martha Ann FICKLE (b. 26 Jan 1884, Buckeye Lake, Ohio) married Jesse Dayton TRACE. Martha and Jesse are both buried in Licking County. Becky in Colorado
I saw your message about the Moore family's. We have Rutledge who married a Margaret Moore. We have from when she got married, had children but nothing before. Quite a few Rutledge families left Maryland, went to PA and on to OH. Do you have any Rutledge people in yours files? Rachel Demaree Clemons RDCLEMONS@aol.com
Leah, Thanks for your information. I have the Chapman book and have now listed Eli's children. Is the Rachel Philbrook you mention also the daughter of Joel? I only have a birth date of 21 Dec 1787 in Vinalhavin Island, Knox Co., ME. No other information. Jim
Bully for you! There is always someone to find fault but never wants return or be apart of gang. Reminds me of how my family did not think I should travel alone with a pick up that Had an old camper on the bed. I would not take any those experiences for all the tea in China. Every where I went there were more young that helped that "old lady' . So let us set a good example. Rachel Demaree Clemons
