Dear Mr. Davis, My husband's grandmother was a Henderson from Coshocton Co., Ohio, which is next door to Licking Co., so it is conceivable that Licking Co. Hendersons are related to Coshocton Co. Hendersons. I have not done a lot of Henderson genealogy research but have some in my database. The only Roy I have was a son of John R. and Laura Beresford Henderson. I show two other sons, Lewis and Alfred. I do not have date of birth for any of these people, but I do show a date of birth for John R. Henderson's sister, Martha Belle Henderson. She was born in 1880 and died 1966, which probably means John R.'s dob was between then and 1900, which means he could have had a son born in 1931. I looked online for a Lewis Henderson and found one at the following address: Lewis Henderson 614-771-8532 3720 Seattle Slew Dr Hilliard, OH 430260000 (this address is Franklin Co., other, which also abuts Licking Co.) I also found an Alfred Henderson at the following address: Alfred P Henderson 937-836-4684 141 Candle Ct Englewood, OH 453222741 (Englewood is near Dayton, Ohio, in Montgomery Co., which is about a 2 hour drive from here. So not close, but not too awfully far.) I don't know if any of this can help you or not. There are several Henderson's listed in the Licking County phone book which I would be happy to scan and send to you if it would help. Sincerely, Sharon Randall Wiggins PS My father was a WWII Navy veteran and was always very proud of his service. -----Original Message----- From: ohlickin-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ohlickin-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of SEPT2702@aol.com Sent: Monday, December 17, 2007 8:40 PM To: OHLICKIN@rootsweb.com Subject: [OHLICKIN] Lost Soldier's from Licking Co, Ohio I am searching for these two family's of a soldier's who was killed in the Korea War. His name was Thompson. That kind of gave me a place to start, but I kind of lost track of them through census records, sort of like they fell off the map...What were the names of her brothers, if you don't mind me asking? Lester would be Thomas Calvin's son. His wife's name was Janet, and she died in 1940. Her maiden name was Hallisy. Lester's middle name was Hallisy. He died in 1955. He had a brother Louis and a sister named Elizabeth R., born around 1901, as my best guess, but that is where my trail for her ends. There also appears to be another daughter Dorothy. I know hardly anything about her. No birth year, marriage, death, children, anything. Louis C. Wright was born in 1893, and I think (haven't been able to verify) that he died in 1976 in Florida. He married Lucile Abbott and they had a son Lawrence and a son John. Joshua's parents, to my knowledge from his death cert. were a lady named Baumgartner and I forget off my head what his dad's name was. I think it might have been Jacob. Your note says Jacob, but Joshua was the name of Mary Jane's husband. He died in 1915 and is also buried in Wilson. Mary Jane Bevard died in March of 1902 and is buried in Wilson. Hope this is not too confusing! Thank you for your help! Regards, Mark Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. His obit is available at the Licking County Genealogical Society room of the Newark Library, and the whole set of obits they have were microfilmed by the LDS and can be ordered to be available at a Family History Center if there's one near you. Trouble is that they don't copy well, at least not at the FHC in Mesa, AZ near where I live. So I can't offer to send you the actual obit. Anyway the obit shows Timon b 5 June 1805 Huntington Co., PA d 12 Nov 1884 Mary's obit shows d 17 Mar 1896 at age 78 buried Green Hill Cemetery. Since I shot pictures of all the Evans I could find at Green Hill, it's possible I have their stone, I'll have to check. As to Thomas T, I'm doubtful. The 1830 census shows Timon in Mary Ann Twp. and a Thomas T Evans in Granville. But Timon is 20-30 (actually 25) while Thomas T is shown as 30-40 meaning he couldn't have been more than 15 when Timon was born. Or is there another Thomas T I don't have the middle initial of? Anyway, feel free to e-mail me as I have a fair amount of additional info and would like your own tree as I didn't have a spouse for Eliza up till now.
