Jerry, If you go to the site http://labs.familysearch.org and click on "Record Search" you should be taken to page where you will be asked to sign in or register. After signing in, the next page should show a search form at the top left for searching all databases or you can select the "Ohio Deaths 1908-1953" database from the list of individual collections on the lower left (it's under "Vital Records). Aubrey I don't seem to find any death records or anything else. Where am I NOT LOOKING? The former Newark Sanitarium is now the site of the Licking Co. and Newark Public Health Dept. My grandmother died there in 1928 of TB and when I visited there I was able to get a copy of her death certificate. It is a very nice building, well maintained. I don't know anything specific about the Newark Sanitorium, but given the date, I think it likely it was in large part for TB patients. It's amazing how many of our ancestors died of TB. If you've filled out the request for registration, you have to wait until they send you an e-mail and then it will include a link to the actual log-in page. This takes a bit of time. Once you've actually logged in, the page listing the databases, including the Ohio Deaths database will appear. And it's worth the wait if you're like me and had most of your relatives of the proper age living in Ohio.
