On Friday August 5, 2005, at 6PM, the Lawrence County Genealogical Society will host its annual picnic. This year we are holding a tailgate picnic in the parking lot of the Briggs Lawrence County Public Library, 321 S 4th St, Ironton, OH. Everyone is asked to bring a dish or two, but thats not required. The society will provide the table service and beverages. Bring your folding chair. After the picnic we will hold a Lock-In in the Hamner Room. We can stay til 7AM Saturday morning, if anyone can stay awake that long. I have always been curious; The Lawrence Co. Web Site does a great job of providing on-line information. Are there many resources available at the Hamner room that is not available on-line? I have actually been there a couple of times, but it has been quite a few years ago.
