I'm still trying to determine the parents and siblings (if any) of my gggrandmo., Margaret (Morrison) Eaton b 1828 either VA or OH and d 1867 OH, LawCo, Rome Twp and is buried in Rome Cemetery. She m. John Pinkethman Eaton 27 Dec 1849 supposedly in Rome Twp although I have not as yet seen a marriage record. Children of John P. and Margaret (Morrison) Eaton are: Richard m. Mary Miller Robert T. Mary Belle Lorenzo Dow m. Minnie Bay John P. m. Eustacia Maria Gardner There is some unverified data on the Internet that Margaret (Morrison) Eaton is a dau of Richard and Mary or Polly (Brindley) Morrison who were m. in Bath Co., VA in 1815. Supposedly this couple left VA in 1820's and settled in LawCo, OH. This would make OH the birthplace of my Margaret if she is their dau. I have re-checked the 1830 and 1840 Census, and there is a Richard Morrison of the right age in Union Twp who also has a dau of the right age for my Margaret. I also looked at Gallia Co., Washington Co., and Monroe Co but find no Morrison family consistently there with the right age for parents and children. Then on the 1850 LawCo Union Twp I find a Richard Morrison of the right age with wife, Mary, but of course my Margaret would be married to John P. Eaton by this time. So I cannot definitely place her with this Richard and Mary Morrison as her parents. Is anyone else researching this family or is anyone able to assist me with the parents of Margaret (Morrison) Eaton? Also, if anyone can verify from marriage records the marriage date and place for Margaret Morrison and John P. Eaton, I'd sure appreciate it. I've been stuck on my Morrison ancestors for years and would really appreciate any assistance/suggestions. It's a shame Bruce and I aren't tracking the same line - at least it seems we aren't.
