Sarah Bevins/Bevans b 1835 married a John Turner prior to 1856. They had the following children: Charles b. 1856; Harrison b. 1858; Walter b. 1860 and John born 1861. John senior went off to fight in the Civil War and was killed. Records show that Sarah Bevans Turner then married Daniel James Turner 6-18-1868 in Lawrence Co. They had the following children: Margaret Turner b. 1-20-1869; Laura Elizabeth Turner b: 8-21-1871 and died 10-8-1875 and finally my g. grandfather Samuel James Turner b. 5-16-1875. I am looking for any other information on any of these family members. They did reside in Lawrence County and I know that at some point Charles moved to kansas with his family.
