Dear Listers, What happened to the great site that indexed almost all of the federal census records for that county? It was the BEST thing that I ever saw to keep public records free on the internet. Hi Ruth, That fabulous site is still out there. It's at www.lawrencecountyohio.com. Martha and her daughter do a great job of keeping it running! There is also another website that has some Lawrence County information on it. It's at www.scioto.org. Follow the links to the Lawrence County information here. The best parts of this website (in my humble opinion) are the land records and the collection of obituaries. It is also available on this website to be able to submit any obituaries pertaining to Lawrence County. I've been submitting some of the obituaries that I have gathered on this site, and I believe that several others have been doing the same. It's growing into a fine collection.
