Quaker Bottom(area settled by early Quakers) was in the vicinity of present day Proctorville. It would have been in Union Twp. I am guessing even thought Nelson's farm was in Windsor Twp his mailing address was Quaker Bottom. I grew up not far from the farm and we had a Chesapeake address. I have been in the Nelson Cox/Judge Ater house. It is a fine old house!
