Now gather his toys and put them away, For never again shall we see him at play. Ah, never again shall his beautiful eyes Beam forth on his mother like light from the skies. That fair little form, those sweet little feet, Will totter no more his dear father to meet. We can never forget his innocent ways, And the future seems gloomy with desolate days; But there is peace in our gloom, there is joy in our grief, For we known he has found everlasting relief.
