Your McCartney branch doesn't seem to be related to the McCartney branch I descend from. Our branch descends from Daniel McCartney, born in 1768 in Rockingham County, Virginia. We don't know the country our family is from. They seem to be in Virginia in the early 1700's. Sorry I can't help you. Bill
