On Tuesday Oct 4, at 6PM, the Lawrence County Genealogical Society will meet at the Lawrence County Museum 506 S 6th St Ironton, OH The museum is owned and operated by the Lawrence County Historical Society. All genealogists are invited, both society members and non members. Ironton's numbered streets parallel the Ohio River, with most odd numbered streets being one way up river, and the even streets one way down river. Exit US 52 at the Ohio Rt 93 exit. This becomes Park Ave. Turn left onto either 7th Street or 5th Street. Follow either for four blocks to Jefferson Street. The up river streets are Vernon, Washington, Adams, and Jefferson. Turn onto Jefferson toward 6th street, then onto 6th for about a block. The Museum is located on the corner of 6th and Adams, and there is parking on the street in front, or in the adjacent funeral home parking lot. If you have never visited the museum this is a great oppurtunity. Come and learn some of Lawrence Counties history and meet the good folks in the genealogical society.
