Though Mary was my paternal grandmother's grandmother, I know virtually nothing about her. From several sources she was described as an American Indian, both partially or full-blooded. She was married to McCager Dillon and lived much of her adult life in Windsor Twp., c1790 to 1874 and is buried with McCager in the Kingery Cemetery, Lawrence Co. OH. She had several daughters who had daughters, who had daughters. I am looking for one of these female descendants who is willing to be tested. The female descendant must be a direct female to female descendant, per the instructions from the testing laboratory (Family Tree DNA, Houston, TX). In this particular case the genetic markers which identify the American Indian DNA are transmitted only by the X chromosome from female to female from the original source, a female. If you have any questions please contact me. The test is a very simple swabbing of the inside of the cheek. Henry S. Dillon
