There is a photo of a JESSE BANDY in here. I see that is one of the names you're researching. There are some Boggs mentioned here, as well. Samuel Boggs is listed as an early settler of Walnut Township, Gallia Co. Alexander Boggs purchased 1 bell and collar for .50 at the estate sale of John Wiseman on Sept. 25, 1844 in most likely Gallia Co. Where the sale is announced in the book is about Gallia Co. residents, so I am assuming this sale was in Gallia. In 1788 Henry McDaniel married Hanna Bryan. They had 10 children. Their son Jehu, born in 1792 married Elizabeth Boggs. Henry McDaniel was the first settler of Walnut Township. He came from Pittsylvania Co., Va. in 1810 and he was born Nov. 7, 1763 in Pittsylvania Co. This account states that one source of information indicates he was among a ! group of settlers led to Ohio by Daniel Boone. It also states that documented proof exists that he settled one-fourth of a mile up on Camp Creek from the confluence of that stream and Symmes Creek. Henry and Hanna McDaniel also had a daughter named Sara, born 1796, who married Andrew Boggs. Henry McDaniel died Sept. 28, 1838. His wife Hanna died in 1811. They are buried in the old cemetery near the site of the original homestead. In Oct 1853 Andrew Boggs was a witness in a lawsuit on Oct. 17, 1853 regarding Alexander McDaniel not receiving his 3 bushels of corn in Walnut Twp. Sand Fork church members as of January 1850 included Mary Boggs and George Bandy. The church was located in Gallia Co. ---end. April.
