I did find them in the census. West Virginia was Virginia long ago Sept 6, 1860 County:Ohio State:Va Location: 4-WD Wheeling Albert Lady 31 yrs old Was a Boiler Born Pa Parmelia 34 yrs old Born Ohio James 10 yrs old Born: Va Annetta 5 yrs old Born: Va Emma 4 yrs old Born: Va Harriet 1 yr old Born: ( Unreadable) ELIZABETH HICKS 34 YRS OLD DOMESTIC WM H HICKS 12 yrs old MARY F. OR T HICKS 10 yrs old James and others born in Va could have been W.Va later. But at the time maybe it was Virginia.. Also in Ohio County Va Location: 5-WD Wheeling was Daniel 31 yrs old Born Va and Daniel 58 yrs old Born Pa Maybe Alberts father??? Now in 1870 the census spelling Parmelia- Vermillion which I think was a census mistake. I think this is also them and it is now W.Va the names and ages match up June 2,1870 County: Ohio State: W.Va Location: 6-Wd Wheeling Albert Lady 41 yrs old Works Rol Mill Born: Va (Error) Should be Pa Vermillion 44 yrs old Born Ohio James 20 yrs old Born Va Anna 15 yrs old Born Va ( which could be Annetta) Isabelle 9 yrs old Born: Va John 4 yrs old Born: Va In Ohio County W.Va Ritchie Twp 6-WD 1870 also Daniel 76 yrs old Born Pa David 27 yrs old Born Va Then if you look at the 1880 census Ironton,Lawrence,Ohio His wife's name is spelled wrong again Albert H. 51 yrs old Born Pa Pannelia 55 yrs old Belle Born W Va ( Which is Isabelle) John B.
