Author: Cherri58 Surnames: Gilruth/Davisson/Tosser Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.lawrence/3787/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I would appreciate any help on the burial records of George W Tosser buried in the Davisson and Gilruth cemetery in Lawrence Co., OH Hopefully there are dates for birth and death or age at death. I think this may be the second husband of Mary Gilruth but there was an article done for the Ironton newspaper by James Gilruth and it says Mary married a John Fasser. Both Mary and James were children of Thomas Gilruth. There was a Henry Tosser in Lawrence Co. per census records, court records, and tax lists I think Henry is my great great grandfather, David Tosser's father but no proof. David would have been born in Lawrence county as his birth date was 1 Dec 1818 and Henry is on the tax records of 1818 & 1821. Henry bought land in 1817. I figure Henry to be the father of David, Henry P., John, George W., Samuel, Susannah who married Edward Davisson (born in Lawrence Co.) in Shelby Co., Betsey who married John McDaniel in Lawrence Co. on 27 Oct 1828, and Barbara Ann who married Samuel D. Spencer in Shelby Co. on 06 Jan 1848. If anyone knows anything on this family I would greatly appreciate any information and I would share what I have. The name Tosser has been spelled many ways, even Fosser, Fasser, Gosser, and Toper. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
