Hi, list. I could use a bit of help for this one. Dr. Andrew Jackson Bowling aka Bolling, Boling, Bolen etc. was born ca 1820 (some say 1808 but 1860 census says 1820) in NC and was married to a Mary Blankenship in KY. During the civil war, he supposedly was practicing medicine in Waterloo, Lawrence County, OH. Family stories say he lived near Big Ice Creek. The story also says that he was made to treat some of Morgan's men when Morgan came through Lawrence Co. In the 1860 census he's in KY. Haven't been able to locate the family in 1870 census. Supposedly Dr. A J Bowling died ca 1864. I don't know where. Does anybody recognize this family and if so, can you share the information. I'm trying to piece together his line. He is supposed to be a descendant on the "red line" from Pocahontas but you know how that goes<G> Thanks, Merry Anne Pierson
