    3. I did a book last year, but I simply wrote it myself, in kind of a story form, and I included some documents within the body of the book and put others in an appendix. I also included some family group sheets with source information in the appendix. I'm not familiar with RootsMagic (although I will look at it), but my experience in dealing with family members who had the idea that "genealogy is dull" required I make something they could read more like a novel. The people who have a copy are quite happy with it, especially the family members who were convinced they weren't at all interested. Based on my experience, I'd suggest you think about your intended audience as you're trying to decide on format. A diehard genealogist will have more patience for all that data we love to collect than will many family members who simply want to know who their ancestors are and where they came from.
