Dr. Andrew Jackson Bowling b. ca 1820 died ca 1868 was supposedly living in Waterloo on Big Ice Creek during the civil war. Family stories say that he treated some of Morgan's men when they came through Lawrence Co and Morgan tired to recruit him but he said no. In 1860 the family was living in Morgan Co, KY. I haven't had success at finding them in 1870 and I think I found them back in Morgan County KY on the 1880 census minus Andrew. The reason I say I think is because there are two extra males living in the family named Bowling and all the family research to date doesn't have those two children. I'd love to know if they were really in Lawrence County ca 1862-1865. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Children in this family: Sarah 2 May 1853 A J Hiram 12 June 1855 Synthia (Cynthia) ca 1856 George W (DR>) 6 march 1858 Columbus Alexander ca 1860 And maybe Napolean ca 1862 and Susie ca 1868 Thanks, Merry Anne Pierson
