There is a book on Lawrence County published in 2003 that contains bios submitted by family members. according to an article submitted by Vickie Bowman Jeffers: Anderson T. Bowman was born about 1815 in VA. When he actually moved to Lawrence County is unknown. He married Miriam Amanda King (born Nov. 15, 1831; died Oct 10, 1849) She was only 17 years, 10 months old when she passed away. Anderson then married Sarah Elizabeth King in Feb. 1851. Sarah and Mariam were sisters and the daughters of Alexander and Nancy Payne King. The children of Anderson and Sarah King were: (1) Mary Carolyn (182-1926) married George Marion Petry (2) John K born 1857 married Elizabeth Watson (3) Nancy (1858-1923)married James A. White (4) Sarah Ellen (1860-1923) married George Bloirch (5) James Finnel (1862-1934) MARRIED Martha Jeffers (6) Alma (born 1863) married Mary S. Watson (7) Jesse (1865-1932) married Sarah watson (8) William (born 1871) (9) Jerimiah Dillard (1875-1913) married Lieudema Watson The family at various times lived in both Gallia and Lawrence Counties and both Anderson and Sarah are buried in Kingery cemetery; however, she gives no death dates for either. If they truly are buried in Kingery cemetery....either they don't have any stones or the stones were overlooked when the Genealogy Society recorded the cemetery many years ago.
