    2. I'm not sure. Elizabeth Perkins married Griffon Sowards in Lawrence Co in 1823, I don't know who her parents were. Iwould be extremely happy if anyone has Perkins info that would get me started in the right direction. Don In a message dated 12/21/2009 2:22:01 P.M. I believe William's father was John, but I haven't been able to prove it. William and Isabel's daughter Rachel was my GG-grandmother. It has been a good year for me genealogically, and I hope you all have had some success in your research. I found a deed dated Dec 1806 in Scioto Co, where my ancestor Samuel Clark was one of the witnesses to the signature of the wife of the gentleman selling a piece of land. That is the earliest I have been able to document the line in Ohio. I have a couple of other ancestor marriages in Belmont Co in 1805, and 1808. The is one in Gallia Co in 1811. I am a lifetime resident of Ohio, and all but six of those in Lawrence County. I hope we can see more queries from the subscribers next year. I invite all the subscribers to start 2010 by posting a list of all your Lawrence County families. This would be a great way to connect with other researching the same name, and possible a long lost cousin. It is amazing how many times I have been in the Hamner Room of Briggs Library and discovered that a researcher in from somewhere out west is a cousin. The fact that all of my families were in Lawrence County by the early 1860's should tell you that I have a lot of cross connections. My families are: Clark, Delawder, Rose, Lambert, Ellcessor, Morris, McComas, Sampson, Burns, Sowards, Halterman, Davis, Tagg, Dillon, Rhanor, Dunfee, Hesson, Lewis, Fowler, Adkins, Higgins, Heighton, Perkins. The Morris, Rhanor, Dunfee, Hesson, Coon, and Dillon families came to Lawco in the mid 1800's from the Belmont/Monroe Co, OH area. The Burns family came from Cabell/Lincoln Co, VA about 1860 then went back in the 1890's. I would be happy to compare notes and share info with anyone sharing any of these lines ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to OHLAWREN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to OHLAWREN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
