Hello All, I have just recently began working on my family's genealogy and am trying to find information about my grandfather Merideth (Pete) Stormes' family. He is from Coal Grove, OH (Lawrence County) and he had 9 or 10 brothers and sisters. His parent's names were Henry Stormes and Earnestine (Ruth)Owens. I have Ruth's side completely done, but the Stormes side has me stumped. I have found out, just recently, that Henry's parents names were Harry Stormes (records say Henry through, but tombstone at woodland cemetery does say Harry) and Debbie (Debra?) Pemberton. I have completed Debbie's family all the way back to the 1500's. I am wondering if Storms Creek in Lawrence Co. was named after the Stormes' of Coal Grove. Any information any of you might have would be GREAT!! Also, if any of you have any information on free genealogy websites that would be great too! I'm just getting started on something my grandmother began but was unable to finish before she passed away. Thanks, Holly
