Sadly, none of them connect. My ancestor Serilda (often spelled Surilda) was born in 1833 so the 12 year old girl put into the home in 1876 or so could not be her. It IS likely that since it is in Lawrence County that one of MY Serildas many brothers named their daughter after his sister (MY Serilda). But without fathers name it is hard to tell. I will continue looking for a William Martin of the large family arond Rock Camp though as well as the Nance woman he married. What a neat book that is though. Thank you so much. Hi Guys, I know there are several on these two lists who are interested in the Rice family, and I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still working on a website for Charles W. Rice and his family. The site is FREE, and gives a chronology of him and his family. I also uncovered a few other interesting facts that may or may not have been known to my fellow researchers, such as Sarah Lynam's father, and possibly William Rice's parentage. I'll be updating the website throughout the week, but am starting to tire of it so I'm taking a break. If anyone has any photographs of the older Rices, please feel free to send them to me for adding to the site. This site is paid for through July of 2011, and I hope to keep it beyond that. The site is located at http://lindatrent.homestead.com/RiceFamily.html Enjoy, Linda Trent linda_trent@att.net
