Different first name spelling than your ancestor though. Admitted 11 Jan. 1876 no parents' names listed. "About 12 yrs. old, from Infirmary. Went to Mrs. S. Crawford's 17 Apr 1876. Returned to Home 22 Nov. 1876. Taken by Andrew GUSEGE, Quaker Bottom 23 May 1877." Here is a detailed plot map showing the location of Quaker Bottom. It is in lower Lawrence Co., OH. Mother born about 1846 at Clinton Furnace, Scioto Co., OH. living at Ironton, OH. Parents married ain Scioto Co., OH. 1875. Mrs. Jesse CRON, 6th Ward, Ironton is aunt (mother's side) of children. April, I see here that you have a book of children admitted to the LawCo. Children's home and I wonder, if you would please look up a child for me? Interestingly enough, she had a guardian named John T. McKnight, I don't know if he was related to her. Her name was Emma Welch (b. 1872 in Law. Co.), she was the daughter of William and (Julia)na Welch. When Juliana died in 1887, it left Emma an orphan. I have never been able to find this child anywhere after her mother's death and would be greatly appreciative if you could look. Thank you Christine Welch Law. Co.
