Is he connected to the Nelson's who settled on or near Symmes Creek in Aid Township? Or is that what you are trying to find out? 1. I would check the 1820 census for any Benjamin Nelson in Ohio, but especially in the Harrison Co. area. This might get you an approx. birth year, since he had to be at least 18 or so in 1812. He would have to have been born by about 1794, but could have been older. 2. If you find him in 1820, try the same area in 1830. 1830 gives you ten year brackets for adults. 3.
