Thanks, Don, for trying to increase the activity on this List. Hopefully your nudging us all to post our ties to LawCo will result in lots of responses, and who knows, maybe some of us will find a new cousin or two in 2009. I'm going to start composing my emails and will try to get all my LawCo ancestors posted to the List over the next week or so. Hi Rickie, I have looked everywhere in this house that I have stuffed genealogy stuff and I have not located that photo. I do, however, have a xeroxed copy. I will try scanning that and we will see what happens. I'll need your email address. COMSTOCK) album. He graduated from high school in 1932, but he is not in this picture. The hair and clothing styles look like early or mid 1930s to me. The family lived in Chesapeake, but the back of the photo has the photog's stamp of J.A. Bridge, 701 S. (?) St., Ironton. It's possible that one or more of his siblings I've not met, or his first wife (Eloise DANIELS) or her family, could be in the group. I'm posting it here for possible ID of the location or any persons. Feel free to download it for your own use, but please post anything you recognize, and I'll add it to the page with the photo for future researchers. There are other photos in this little album, both school portraits and family photos, many with people I cannot identify. If there's an interest, I'll scan and share some of those. My ggreatmother Emily Jean Goodall Porter(wife of Jerry M. Porter) is buried at the Union Twp/Lower Gap Cem at Bradrick. She died ca 1890. There is no marker so I am not sure where she is buried at. Does anyone know if possibly they are old records from the cemetery? Does the Union Baptist Church have them? I was up there a few days ago and found a tombstone I had not noticed before it was for a Alexander Porter son of A.J. and A. Porter. It was dated 1854-1855. I am guessing that he was the son of Andrew and Annas Graham Porter who were my 3rd greatgrandparents. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
