    3. Bobbi, It's Kay. The inquiry was mine. Haven't worked on family for quite awhile and looking over some information found that Nancy Martin and my g-grandmother Margaret Sumpter were the only "older" generation family members that I don't have anything on. I think I may have found some of the Sumpter information but just can't find anything on Nancy Martin not only because the older census don't list family members but I can't seem to find a Martin family in 1830 census for Lawrence County. Found a David Martin in 1840 but he is between 30-40 and might be a brother of Nancy's but couldn't find him in 1830. Nancy and David Freeman were married in 1829 so assume Nancy had some family in Law Co. then. Keep trying to knock down some brickwalls in this family of ours.(smile). Was mainly looking at the stuff again because a cousin is trying to get into the 1st families of Law Co. Have enough information to get her in but it just brought Nancy Martin back to mind and how I hadn't been able to find her. One Researcher years ago told me that she was Nancy Tatum (Marriage license says Martin so unless she was a young widow who remarried??) William and Sarah Parker Freeman's daughter Susanne married a John Tatum. After Susanne's death he remarried and moved to IL then to KS. I used to have contact with one of John's descendants (through Susanne and John's son William Edward) and they said that they had never found a Nancy Tatum during their research so I go back to her name being Nancy Martin in trying to find her. -----Original Message----- >From: bobbi <bo66i@comcast.net> >Sent: Feb 11, 2009 7:34 AM >To: ohlawren@rootsweb.com >Subject: [OHLAWREN] Nancy Martin and David Parker Freeman > >Hi, > >I didn't see an e-mail address or a name so, > >Nancy Martin and David Parker Freeman are my >ggrandparents. > >Please contact me by e-mail: bo66i@comcast.net > > >------------------------------- >To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to OHLAWREN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ________________________________________ PeoplePC Online A better way to Internet http://www.peoplepc.com

    2. Linda Trent
    3. Hi Guys, I've been having a blast solving the logic puzzle that my family left me. Most of the following link is about Abner Hixon of Harrison and Carroll County, but Abner's son George F. Hixon moved to Gallia County and married Alcinda Morgan in 1860. Several of their children were born in Gallia County before the family moved to Lawrence County. I hope you all enjoy reading the puzzle as much as I've enjoyed working on solving it. What was once a solid brick wall has been crumbling with age, and it won't be long before the puzzle's completed. http://lindatrent.homestead.com/GeoFHixon.html Obviously, if anyone has anything to add to this, PLEASE let me know. <grin> Linda. lindatrent@zoomnet.net
