Hi Everyone, Since Rillene's great idea to post the Lake Co. obit I thought I'd post mine too. I must admit Lake County residents put the most informative obits in the Telegraph. MRS.CANDIS EDDY WAS PIONEER OF LAKE CO. Came to Painesville at the Age of Six and Has Lived Here 84 Years Mrs. Candis Eddy passed away Monday evening at the age of ninety years and seven months. Mrs. Eddy was born in Utica N.Y. and came to Painesville in a stage coach at the age of six years, spending the remainder of her life in this city. Three children are left to mourn her loss, James Eddy, Mrs. Francis Whitley, and Mrs. David Vorce, all of this city. There were also twenty-seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The funeral sevices will be held at the home of her grandson Howard Buck 509 Liberty street at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Perhaps Rillene's idea to post informative obits is a good way to help others looking for Lake county families. Candace Eddy was the daughter of John Young, and niece to Brigham Young. She was married once before to ? Dresser and had two daughters. I can't locate a marriage license to? Dresser in either Lake or Geauga County. Any connections are appreciated. Cindy
