    3. Dear Barb Trautlein <[email protected]> and friends, Here's more re: BARTLETT, STOCKWELL another researcher sent me. Let me know if it connects with anyone. Mary Kay COLE Ward, Richmond, VA " I have the two volume set of "Pioneer Women of the Western Reserve," and there's no Mary Barrett mentioned. However, on p. 716 of vol. II, as part of Brunswick, Medina County, it says about William BARRETT: "Lucinda Freese came, when quite young, from Lee, Massachusetts, in 1818, with her father's family, and grew to be a lovely young lady, endowed with many graces, and one of the sweetest of tempers. She mearried Willam Barrett, and is the mother of five sons and five daughters. She is now [1896?] 85 years old and reads and writes without the aid of glasses. . . ." The only BARRETTS mentioned in the two volumes are: Almira, Amos, Annis, Brnjamin, Eliza, J.W., Judson, Mary [Oops! More below], Oliver, Saphrona, Susan E., William [as given above]. "Painesville, Mentor County, p. 977 in vol II: "Mrs. E. L. Stockwell, (Abigail Freeman), came with her parents from Morris, NY in 1836 and settled on the farm where she still lives. There were but two frame houses near them and one of these was partly of logs. She was married in 1842. Her son resides in Mentor near his parents, and their daughter, Mrs. Mary Barrett, in Chicago. . . ." ________________________________________________________________ Get secure free e-mail that you don't need Web access to use from Juno, the world's second largest online service.
