hello all, When coming to a new place I like to introduce myself, and this is no exception. My earliest Lake County family is my McMACKIN line, with John MCMACKIN & his wife Bede or Beda ELLIS coming to that area soon after 1800 when it was opened up to further settlement after the Revolution. John's mother Elizabeth McMACKIN reportedly also came with them & is buried with other family members in Madison. My father, Jay McMackin, & mother, Ellen Ryan, were born in Madison Lake County in 1905 & 1906 i now live in Delaware & am a consultant working in the field of assisting individuals, clubs etc . in preserving family or other papers, memorabilia, photographs, stories, etc. Other related family names from Lake county from the 1800s into the 1900s follow.
