I've been trying to find what happened to Alvah & Charlotte WOODARD / WOODWARD. The genealogy dept at Painesville, Lake co, OH Morley Library sent me this info from their death index: CHARLOTTE WOODARD died 27 Sep 1871 AGE 61; Obit: "Passed to the spirit life, September 27th from Madison county, Kansas". However, I can find no Madison county in Kansas. I did find researcher who has the following data: Charlotte Pike ROGERS born 3 Jun 1810 NH died 7 Sep 1871 Marion Co, KS. She married Alva (Alvah) WOODWARD b 20 Nov 1809 NH he died Apr 1890 (probably in Marion co, KS). Their dau. Eliza Antionette WOODWARD born 22 Jun 1844 Lake Co, OH died 7 Feb 1925 Marion Co, KS married Joseph HALE born in IA. They had a son, William Alvah HALE born 27 Jan 1871 Marion Co, KS who died 8 Jan 1932 Earlsboro, OK who married Ada Lee SHANNON born 14 Mar 1880 Atchison Co, MO. They had a dau. Bertha Blanch HALE born 27 Jul 1904 Earlsboro, OK. The 1880 census Liberty, Marion co, KS pg 19A has a Joseph S. HALE with wife Nelly and 5 children which includes a son, William A.
