I got an email yesterday with the same explanation. I took another look at the online images, magnifying the Ancestry.com image and I can see where the transcribera could have gotten confused. I also checked the 1830 census for Geauga County and the 1850 Lake County census and both listed Kirtland Township, not Rutland. It's good to get a second opinion. I know of localities in Lake County that have changed names over the years. Along the same lines I have seen Mentor spelled as Minton and Mintor. I know that this individual lived in Kirtland in other census years and may have been associated with the Mormans.
