B. Wilson, Florist, at 69 An illness of three weeks ended with the death Monday night in Lake County Memorial Hospital for Archibald B. Wilson, 69, of 46 N. High St. Clair St., city, for the last 25 years a florist in Painesville. He had come to Painesville from Cleveland where he had lived nearly all his life and where he spent many years as a florist. Mr. Wilson was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, here, and of the Masonic order. He was affiliated with Temple lodge No. 28, F. & A. M.; Painesville chapter No. 46, R. A. M.; Painesville council No. 104, R. & S. M.; Eagle Commandery No. 29, Knights Templar, and Urania chapter No. 284, Order of Eastern Star, and Lake Erie Consistory in Cleveland. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Annie C. Wilson, at home; one son, Reginald, of Painesville; three grandchildren, and one brother, James, of Hollywood, Cal. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Friends may call at the Nixon Funeral Home where services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. Rites will be conducted by the Eagle Commandery, following which Phillip Barto, lay reader of the church, will conduct the services of the church. Mr. Barto also will conduct graveside services at Evergreen cemetery. (same newspaper, Friday, January 19, 1940) Funeral Services Conducted for Archibald Wilson As simple and unassuming as the life he had lived were the solem, sacred rites performed Thursday for Archibald B. WIlson, 69, of 46 N. St. Clair St., city, who died Monday evening in Lake County Memorial hospital after an illness of three weeks. A profusion of flowers marked the high esteem in which Mr. Wilson had been held by those who came to know him during the 25 years he had been a resident of Painesville. Many friends and relatives and fellow members of the Masonic orders with which he had been affiliated attended him to his last resting place in Evergreen cemetery Thursday afternoon following services held at Nixon's Funeral home at 2 p.m. Rites for their deceased brother were conducted by officers of Eagle Commandery No. 29, Knights Templar, of which Elmer Conkling is eminent commander. The fraternal service was followed by the simple rites of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, here. Phillip Barto, lay reader, was in charge. Mr. Barto also conducted the graveside services at Evergreen. Pallbearers were Richard Wilson, William Wilson, Horace Wilson, Richard Wilson, Jr., and Thomas Wilson, all nephews, and William Foster.
