(Barnes) Joliffe, 78, died Friday morning in her home after a short illness. She lived at 645 Madison Ave. in Painesville. Born July 14, 1890, Mrs. Joliffe lived her entire life in Painesville. She married John Joliffe in Painesville in 1910. Mrs. Joliffe was a member of the Painesville United Methodist Church, the Macabees, Urania Chapter 284 of the Order of Eastern Star and past-president of the Womens Society of Christian Service of the United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, John; a daughter, Mrs. Arloa Congos of Painesville; two sons, J. Sibley of Johnson City, Tenn., and Claude of Naples, Fla.; a step-brother, Harley Barnes of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. A son, Harley, preceded her in death in 1954. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. Dr. Thurman Alexander will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson Funeral home.
