Hello, Lake County Researchers, Lake County OH GenWeb is pleased to announce a major addition to the biographies section of the site. Janet Lisonbee has written a book, "Obituaries and Life Sketches of the Early Saints Who Lived and Died in the Kirtland Ohio Area." The text of this entire book has been put on the site. There is an every name index with which to begin. This is a wonderful glimpse of the Mormon era in Kirtland in the 1830s and beyond. We hope you will enjoy browsing or perusing this fine work. Since we last announced updates, there have been a large number of additions to the site. About 70% of the transcription of the death records (1867-1908) are now uploaded. There are some divorces, several new pioneers registered. Washington St. Cemetery in Painesville has a list of burials from the 1878 map and other sources by Frances Slack. There is a list of volunteers for the Spanish American War from Lake County. We have a new lookup volunteer. There are several new biographies, thanks to a variety of volunteers.
