He died 1854, headstone at Greenville Cemetery. They came from Livingston County in New York State. He was one of the thirteen founders of Colgate university after 1817 in Hamilton, New York. He was a baptist minister.
I have a Victorine/Victorina Canfield (she married under the name of Victorina Wilson, and it seems to have been her only marriage, yet the family said her surname was Canfield?) who married Edwin E. Green. She was supposed to have been born in Lake County 24 Mar. 1848or 1849. She was born in Ohio, but I'm wondering if she lived in Lake Co. at a later time. I can't seem to learn who her parents were. (She died in Charles City, Iowa on 4 Apr. 1920.) Another family bit tells me that she was a cousin to some of the Brooks (Wesley, Henry) family in Lake County. Can anyone help on this research question? Thank you. Marcia W. Green

Is there any kind person who would be able to lookup in a newspaper for possibly the 15th or 16th of August 1944 for information on a relative of mine? Emma Davis had bilateral fractures of both legs on the 14th of August in 1944 and remained in Lake County Memorial Hospital in Painesville from the 14th of August until her death 6 months later (16th of January 1945). She was a long time resident of Painesville. I am wondering if there was an automobile accident or what would have caused her breaking both legs and injured enough to have remained in the hospital until her death. Thank you, Nora

I have some other marriage apps. to be sent to Cleveland, so don't worry about it. The reason I couldn't find this one was I was looking under McClellan, not the misspelling McClellin and also I was looking under Thressa, not Theressa. The date of 1885 is correct. I can't tell you how many different spellings I used. Can't thank you enough for your help.
