Hello, Just an FYI-- Morley Library now subscribes to the ProQuest Sanborn Map collection for Ohio. This one is different than the OPLIN system in the searching and the navigation. Instructions for each system have been put on Lake Co. OHGenWeb under maps. For those who do now know, these maps show houses and businesses with all sorts of details for the purpose of helping insurance agents to determine premiums. See if your family had a stable. They tended to be larger than the houses. Funny how garages now are attaining the same proportions. Happy Hunting! Cynthia Turk www.rootsweb.com/~ohlake/

Click on the "English" Flag and follow directions. I cheched the list of languages they translate and it does state "Norwegian - DELAY". You might want to write to them to find out what that means, although I think that it might mean that it would take some time to complete a translation. Free Translation Service http://www.e-transcriptum.net/ ********************************************************************** 2.) I'm trying to find the name of an oldest son for a couple who died in Painesville. Gilbert Titus d. 30 June 1862. Almera Whitney Titus d. 6 Oct. 1863. The estate record for Almera shows the name of Hiram Austin Titus, but indicates he is her brother-in-law. There was a younger Hiram Austin Titus also. Yet Gilbert and Almera seem to have a son older than the daughters I have found to be his. The census has not proved helpful in resolving this problem, nor has anything I've checked so far. Any suggestions? THANK YOU.

My 3rd Grt Grandfather Rosewell Adams came to Concord Township about 1827 with wife Sylvia Segar Adams and family. Later married for 2nd wife, Juliana Segar. Was related to Martin Adams who had descendents also in Concord and Leroy Townships. Anyone have information on these families? Richard Sobers
Bill, This couple is in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville. You can check the inscription at www.rootsweb.com/~ohlcgs/ Unfortunately there are no children listed on the same stone. I did not look at the rows before and after, however. The birth index at probate would be a good source of children. That is a future project, sort of already in the works. Ruth... If you can, that would be great. However, please don't do this if it involves considerable time and effort on your part. One of these days (perhaps years) I'll be coming back through there (I live in Georgia) and will (again) visit the local library and probate offices. Thanks. Does anyone have access to information concerning the death dates and locations of Elias and Hattie (Babcock) Warren? They were living in Painesville at the time of the 1910,1920, and 1930 censuses. According to "A History of Fairport Harbor" Hattie gave an interview to the Telegraph in September of 1955 and was then 85 years old. Also, based on census information, I would conclude that that couple did not have children (or had children who died very young). Is anyone familiar with this couple and can confirm whether orr not they had children? Thanks for any help. Bill -- William F.
