Jenny, If you are local, you might check the 1915 atlas at Morley Library. There are many descriptions of farms in Lake County. There are some Perry ones listed in GenWeb under Biographies, if you want an idea of what is in them. Another transcription project waiting to be done! I am interested in any information about the Nutwood Farm, Wickliffe. I am researching the family of Lawrence Lanier WINSLOW that appeared to have lived there in the 1930-40s. Any information on the place and or the WINSLOW family would be appreciated. Thank you, Jenny
Hi, there! Lake County OH GenWeb has had several new additions lately. A list from the What's New page is below. Also, the Lake County Genealogical Society naturalizations are now abstracted on-line from 1860 to 1975. The description was not uploaded before, but the Common Pleas Court records are now abstracted along with the Probate Court ones. It has a search engine on it. Looking for a James Arbuckle listed in the 1840 census of Lake County, OH between the age of 70-80. Trying to locate if he died there and who he was.
Thank you sooo much for the info on Hilda. I will contact the Library as you suggested. An obituary was what I had been hoping for but not sure if anyone could get it as I didn't have the exact date of death which you just gave me. Thanks again. Nancy

On Tuesday evening, October 23, Mrs. Betsy Frisbie, mother of Mrs. E. J. Wright, of this place, died at the home of her daughter on Eagle street. She was born in New York State, May 27, 1813. Her parents came to Madison, Lake County, O., when she was two years old, and she has resided in this vicinity since that time. Her maiden name was Hall. At the age of 22 she married Joseph Plaisted by whom she had eight children. Later she married Luman Frisbie. Since the death of her second husband she has resided with her daughter. Seventeen years ago she met with a serious accident, since which time she has been a great sufferer until death came to release her. During the last year she was confined to her bed the most of the time, and was entirely helpless. She was devoutedly cared for by her daughter and her last days were thus made pleasant. In the years of her strength she discharged faithfully every duty of life. She was a member of the Methodist church. The funeral wa! s held on Friday, Revs. Votaw and Hall officiating.
