John Pinkley, one of the men killed by the nitro-glycerine explosion, near Bellevue, was brought here Saturday enroute to North Liberty, where deceased's people all reside, he being born and raised in that vicinity. The remains were accompanied as far as this place by Al. Rummel, of Toledo, in whose employ Mr. Pinkley was at the time of his death. The obsequies took place at 11 o'clock Sunday, conducted by Rev. Wilson, of Amity, and the remains were laid away in the North Liberty cemetery. The sudden and unlooked for death of Mr. Pinkley has cast a gloom over the entire neighborhood in which he was raised. source: RICHLAND SHIELD & BANNER (Mansfield, Richland, Ohio): 18 February 1888, Vol. LXX, No. 39 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
