Hi Joan and all! I am descended from William Dowds and Rebecca Adams who settled east of Mt. Vernon. Their daughter, Lucinda A. Dowds is my ggreatgrandmother. She married John Spencer Maidlow (christened Alfred Spencer) 18 Feb 1834 at her parents farm just East of Mt. Vernon. They lived and died in Putnam County, OH.
