Hello Joan Am working on Dowds also. Delta A Black m. Sheridan Grant Dowds, 1888 Knox Co. O. His father was Elijah W. Dowds, b. VA - d. Knox Co. O. His 1st wife was Nancy Wilson and they had 11 children that I know of; all Knox Co. There were a lot of Dowds up around Amity, Knox Co.
