I am looking for a death record for Margaret or Peggy McNair Frost, wife of Josiah Frost, which would be sometime around 1845. I know that Josiah married Hannah Harris after Peggy, but I don't know when Peggy died exactly. She was my ggg grandmother. And I would like to have a death record on Josiah, too. (He was born 1790 in MD, and they were married there, so she must have been b. about the same time) He died in Jan, 1865. I also don't know when Hannah Harris Frost died, but I do know that Josiah also m. Lucy Workman (a widow) after hannah. And Josiah's son Joseph Perry Frost m. Deborah Tilton in 1837. Most county vital records (birth & death) start in 1867...with a few exceptions in the 1850's...Morrow, Highland, Meigs Co's. There is a will for a Harriett Frost in 1858 listed in "Knox Co. Oh. How can I get this information on an ancestor of mine? I have been unsuccessful in finding death or guardian information. Nathaniel Hornbeck/Hornback/Hoornbeck (or variations) died around 1849 in Knox Co. He left several children including my ggg-grandmother, Eliza R. "Rodelphia" Hornbeck. His wife quickly remarried and his children were sent off to various families. My Rodelphia was enumerated in the 1850 Delaware Co. census with the family of Jacob Morgan. Are lookups available in this volume: "Knox Co. Oh. Will Abstracts 1808-1877 Vol 1" by DeLauder? I would appreciate it greatly.
